Job summary:


A new information management role has been created supporting the Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) Lead on a 12 month project to make information management and governance improvements within SharePoint and Teams which would enable testing of Copilot.

Job description:


The role provides a fantastic opportunity for someone to build on their existing knowledge and experience of information management within a project environment.

It would suit someone who is looking to extend their information management experience and develop their project delivery and change management skills.


You will work closely with the Records Manager and technical colleagues to understand the business and governance requirements for developing a new SharePoint information architecture.


You will engage with teams from across the organisation to understand their business needs and priorities, which will inform a phased delivery approach.

You will work with the Knowledge and Information Management Lead to identify risks and mitigating actions.

You will work with colleagues in communications and programmes and change on reporting and awareness raising campaigns.

You will have the opportunity and time to complete new learning that will assist you in your role.


You will be given time and support to balance these different tasks so you are able to bring and commit your best effort to the role.

You will be a highly organised individual who is able to work with others to provide solutions to problems.

You will be confident at proactively engaging with teams and developing positive working relationships with a range of individuals.

Essential Criteria

  • Knowledge and experience of working with teams to support new ways of managing information.
  • Experience of developing policies and principles to support the introduction of information governance requirements in systems.
  • Experience of balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Experience of working collaboratively as part of a multidiscipline team that includes technical experts and business end users.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of implementing information governance policies in Microsoft SharePoint and Teams
  • Knowledge and experience of Copilot or similar generative AI tools
  • Awareness and experience of working with security standards.
