    Location: UK Wide & Belfast

    Role: Permanent / Hybrid

    Job Description:

    As a Manager in their Audit team within the Consumer and Technology Business service line, you will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing positive working relationships with both internal teams and clients, with the ultimate goal of exceeding client expectations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and execute projects to deliver a superior client experience.
    • Develop a deep understanding of each client's business, staying updated on industry and sector trends and best practices.
    • Identify and solve complex problems using your analysis, experience, and judgment.
    • Transform opportunities into solutions that drive business value for their clients.
    • Utilize financial information to evaluate business opportunities and make recommendations.

    In your role as a manager, you will lead teams in delivering high-quality audits, involving the development and management of project plans to optimize engagements. This includes:

    • Setting key activities and milestones.
    • Managing deadlines and priorities for all engagement team members.
    • Ensuring compliance and timely archiving of working papers after report issuance.
    • Understanding how the audit plan aligns with engagement budgets.
    • Evaluating the importance and urgency of assigned tasks on a daily and/or weekly basis.
    • Delivering high-quality audits through the appropriate use of technology, tools, guidance, and methodology.

    As an expert in risk assessment and audit response, you will be responsible for:

    • Obtaining a thorough understanding of the entity and its environment, including internal controls.
    • Continuously gathering, updating, and analysing information throughout the audit.
    • Applying your knowledge of relevant accounting standards applicable to the entity.
    • Performing risk assessment procedures or providing a basis for the identification and assessment of risks of material misstatement.

    Requirements:

    Essential:

    • Experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier Audit firm, working in an environment that complies with auditing and accounting standards, relevant laws, and regulations, ethical standards, and independence requirements.
    • Proven experience as an Audit professional with expert knowledge of relevant accounting standards.
    • Strong track record of delivering high-quality audits through the appropriate use of technology, tools, guidance, and methodology.
    • Qualified accountant with a CAI accounting qualification or international equivalent and a strong academic record.
    • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
    • Strong commercial and market awareness.
    • Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work independently in a challenging and dynamic work environment.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise reports.
    • A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
