Reed Accountancy are currently working exclusively with an established client in the local area who are seeking a Finance Manager to join their existing team.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Preparing management accounts for the organisation
  • Preparing management accounts for individual departments
  • Preparing monthly cash flow and report on variances to budget
  • Preparing weekly reports for the Managing Director
  • Supervising Payroll
  • Supervising Sales and Purchase ledgers
  • Preparing bank reconciliations for quarterly reports, petty cash and expenses
  • VAT quarterly returns
  • Assisting in preparing yearly budgeting and cash flow forecasts
  • Assisting in preparing draft yearend financial accounts prior to audit
  • Preparing financial journals
  • Preparing Nominal Ledger
  • Monitoring Approved Suppliers database with HSQE
  • Maintaining Hire Purchase Agreements

Experience and Qualifications Essential:


  • A professional qualification or QBE
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial software (SAGE) and good Word/Excel skills
  • Logical, solutionfocused, selfmotivated team player with the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communicator and good telephone manner
  • Driver essential due to location
  • Health & Safety Awareness
  • Customer focus experience
