    Personal Tax Manger

    The Role

    Provide both personal tax compliance and advisory services to individuals through managing a portfolio and supporting the team.

    Outcomes of the Role
    • Manage a portfolio of personal tax compliance.
    • Support the Tax Director in providing UK income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, residence and domicile advice.
    • Be able to recognise and advise on planning points for clients that may arise as a result of tax return reviews or other correspondence.
    • Working successfully with the team to ensure that deadlines and client expectations are met.
    • Works well as part of a team and delegates effectively to more junior team members.
    • Supports the wider team from a coaching, mentoring and learning perspective.
    • Strong WIP management, including managing client expectations, recoverability, proposing fees, invoicing and collecting cash on a timely basis.
    • Strong risk management skills, including in relation to client acceptance and engagement.
    • Keeps up-to-date with technical and market developments.
      Knowledge, Skills and Experience
      • Strong personal tax technical skills.
      • Strong understanding of risk management, including in relation to client acceptance and engagement.
      • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
      • Able to self-manage, self-motivate and self-direct.
      • Positive outlook and able to deal with adversity.
      • An understanding of trusts and estates.
      • Strong financial management skills.
      • Strong people skills.
      • Seeks networking and business development opportunities.
      • CTA qualified.
      • Proven track record of delivering personal tax compliance and advisory services..
      • Experienced with working as part of a team on client relationships, projects and people management.
      • Experienced with risk management, including in relation to client acceptance and engagement.
      • Manages WIP, billing and debtors on client portfolio.
