MONDAY - SATURDAY: 06.00 & 10.30 START TIMES

£12.34 PER HOUR

People Solutions are pleased to be working with a well-known home furnishing company to support their delivery network across the UK.

Working Monday to Saturday, with part time and full-time hours available, you will be a key part of the delivery team.

Day to Day Duties

• As the face of the business in the local area, your day will start with you spending time ensuring you have everything needed for the day ahead
• Delivering furniture, home furnishings and white goods to customer's homes
• Using a hand-held computer device to act as a routing system and obtain customer signatures for deliveries, as well as ringing ahead of a delivery to ensure the customer is at home
• Completing daily checks to ensure you have everything needed to be delivered for the day
• Manual handling is involved in this role as you will be assisting the driver to deliver items

Essential Skills

• Good time keeping
• A professional appearance and attitude, & confident when dealing with people
• The ability to work equally well as part of a team and on your own initiative
• Familiar with manual handling of heavier items

Desirable Experience

Experience in a similar delivery role would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

Training

Training on the PDA scanners, manual handling and routing systems will be provided.
