We are seeking a highly-motivated individual to join us in this newly created role, working alongside our Rescheduling team based at University Hospital Lewisham.


The successful applicant will be the lead point of contact for the provision of room scheduling across elective care, maintaining a high level of professionalism whilst supporting in the delivery of current local and national waiting time targets.

The post holder will also responsible for ensuring all rooms are utilised appropriately and reports produced according to the needs of the service.

The role is busy and fast-paced; to be successful in the role the following attributes and experience are essential:
You must have excellent organisational skills with an understanding of capacity management

You must be IT literate, ideally with some prior knowledge of Room Management software

You must be able to analyse and interpret data

You must have a positive attitude and work well within a team

Job Summary:


The post holder will be responsible for the provision of quality room scheduling functions for all elective care specialists, maintaining a high level of professionalism and credibility to the Trust whilst ensuring current local and national waiting time targets are achieved.


The post holder will be responsible for ensuring all rooms are utilised appropriately and reports produced according to the needs of the service.

The post holder will ensure the performance metrics as set by the Trust are achieved on a
daily/weekly/monthly/yearly level.


Main Duties/Responsibilities:

The post holder will provide robust and successful implementation and leadership to guide and steer
the team to achieve agreed targets and objectives, whilst ensuring all Trust policies and procedures are
adhered to.

The post holder will monitor all KPI's and targets relating to performance within the Trust's Room
Management system, reporting weekly to the Outpatients Systems Manager and Services across the
Trust. These KPI's, which set out the operational standards all staff can expect and prepare regular
monitoring against the agreed indicators, are underpinned by a thorough understanding of the
Access Policies and expectations. There will be a requirement to produce and analyse statistics
relating to the use of Bookwise within the Trust, ensuring agreed KPI's are met for each area.

The post holder will have a thorough understanding of the Room Management software and
reporting suite, and be able to analyse and provide real time information and statistical data to
ensure the department's performance metrics are met, to ensure that patients are being effectively
treated in accordance with the set targets.

The post holder will develop and implement new projects and processes as and when required into
the Outpatient teams.

The post holder will manage the capacity and demand of the workload to ensure correct room
utilisation levels, skill mixing at all times to allow services to appropriately manage the booking and
rescheduling of patients or identify alternatives where the Room Management system cannot
support.

The post holder will understand all the functions of the Outpatient teams and support all services
where required to deliver operational KPIs.

Conduct regular stakeholder quality checks with all staff and feedback and document within personal
development plan.

Conduct regular system and information quality checks on all staff to ensure Trust's policies and
procedures are being adhered to and document within personal development plan.
