Description
An experienced and proactive Purchase Ledger Clerk is required for a friendly firm based in Bedford.Responsibilities:
To ensure accurate nominal ledger coding and timely processing of invoices according to established procedures and appropriate authorisation;
To ensure accurate and timely payments of invoices in accordance with the credit terms and internal procedures.
To prepare cheques for signature by authorised signatories as appropriate.
To complete nominal ledger code reconciliations, investigate queries and see through to resolution.
To provide prompt and efficient answering of queries from suppliers and other departments;
To file paid invoices in a suitable order, as determined by the Supervisor, for ease of accessibility;
To prepare bankers drafts and cheque payments
Maintain the "awaiting tax invoices" file for subsequent matching when invoices received;
To ensure statement spreadsheet is updated and unpaid invoices are requested if not already received.
To investigate any purchase ledger credit balances and resolve.
Previous experience is essential.
