Position Available: Serious Injury Assistant
Location: Liverpool
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Serious Injury Assistant to support and assist a senior fee earner in handling all litigated and non-litigated personal injury claims. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess exceptional organizational skills.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of litigated and non-litigated personal injury claims, particularly those of high value or technical complexity.
Conduct continuous risk assessments throughout the progression of cases, highlighting concerns to the fee earner/line manager.
Promptly notify fee earners of any settlement offers and update relevant systems accordingly.
Identify subtle head injuries and escalate as necessary.
Liaise with courts and attend hearings as required.
Obtain necessary evidence and liaise with medical experts.
Draft legal documents and pleadings under supervision.
Engage in business development activities and mentor other team members.
Attend client meetings across England and Wales.
Assist with additional tasks as requested.
Experience & Knowledge:
Substantial experience managing or assisting with litigated personal injury cases.
Strong client care and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills with external agencies.
Proficiency in IT systems including case management software and MS Office.
