The FCA operates a secondment programme of around 80 secondments per year.

These include inward and outward, from and to regulated and professional services firms and strategic secondments to a number of international regulatory and governmental organisations.

What you will be doing

  • This role is to assist the coordination and administration of the secondments process. Working closely with the Senior Associate (who will manage the relationships, resourcing strategy and governance of secondments), this role will assist administration such as completing secondment request forms, booking intake meetings, creating secondment worker profiles on Workday and assisting with off boarding when secondments end, invoicing activity, and keeping our secondment groups updated through regular communications.

Specific tasks will involve:

  • Keeping the secondments tracker up to date with the required information
  • Assisting the secondments end to end processes including records management
  • Meeting and interview scheduling for hiring managers for interviews (where applicable), intake meetings and also for HR colleagues to assist secondment strategy discussions
  • Onboarding and offboarding assistance for secondees and hiring managers, including help for Workday
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to coordinate meetings and communications, including Finance for invoices and expenses, KPMG for tax enquires, Gerson for relocation assistance

The skills and experience you will have

  • Minimum
  • Previous experience of either working in administration or coordination in a HR environment
  • Previous experience of dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Essential
  • Proactively engage with external bodies and international organisations
  • Operational delivery of secondments through processes and guidance
  • Professionalism, tact and diplomacy when dealing with issues relating to secondments
  • Proficient use of HR/ERP systems to assist HR processes and delivery
  • Strong judgement and the ability to handle queries by identifying the right people to discuss with and resolve
  • Ability to gather information, problemsolving and negotiation are key functions of this role
  • Attention to detail to ensure our secondments data and repository is accurately maintained
