Acorn by Synergie is delighted to be partnering with CCR Energy Ltd on the appointment of their brand-new Independent Non-Executive Board (NED) Members.
CCR Energy Ltd is responsible for the future redevelopment of Aberthaw Power Station into an exemplar green energy park.These are unique and exciting opportunities to take a lead role on the project and would suit those passionate about sustainability, a green economy, and future generations.
CCR Energy Ltd are looking to speak with talented individuals across the UK, not just locally to Aberthaw to ensure they have the best possible NED's available.
Some meetings throughout the year will be held in person so you will need to be able to commit to doing this, although there will be an option on occasion to join virtually.
CCR Energy Ltd require five NED's to join five existing representatives who come from within the ten local regional councils.
- Redeveloping the site into an exemplar green energy park.
- Supporting the UK and Welsh Government net zero objectives and accelerate CCR's progress towards its decarbonisation targets.
- Encouraging local development of renewable energy projects, maximising green energy infrastructure in the region.
- Creating thousands of high skilled jobs, training, and development opportunities in key industries of the future.
- Stimulating coinvestment and inward economic investment into the region.
- Increasing GVA by supporting high growth productivity and a focus on climate; and
- Generating an appropriate commercial return on the project investment.
- Brownfield remediation and/or large-scale/complex demolition.
- Energy production, storage, or networks/microgrids.
- Infrastructure (transport, highway, green, blue, digital etc.)
- Commercial and/or business development.
- Innovation, R&D, Education, Higher Education; and
- Key sectors, such as skills, hydrogen, SAF, PFA etc.
Your Commitment:
This is a strategic role overseeing the effective governance, assurance, performance, and development of the business. Board members hold ultimate responsibility for the business, which is also a limited liability company.
- Able to give a minimum of 2 hours per week to the role, up to 4 hours as the role requires.
- Able to prepare for, attend and actively participate in board meetings (sequence to be agreed)
- Willing to represent the business when needed during the year.
