- Re-fuel vehicle fleet in readiness for next days' service,
- Ensure the fuelling area is clean and any hazards are removed prior to start of work,
- Ensure vehicles are parked adjacent to pump and engine is switched off by means of the emergency engine stop, fill accordingly,
- Swipe fuel tag, place fuel nozzle fully into fuel neck and issue fuel to vehicle, when nozzle 'clicks', remove nozzle taking care not to spill any fuel. Spillages should be reported immediately. Using soft brush and soapy water, wash under fuel neck,
- Check level of AdBlue and fill accordingly, taking great care to avoid spillage,
- Record mileage, fuel usage and any oil and AdBlue usage accurately on daily fuel issue sheet,
- Report any vehicles with fuelling problems and V.O.R. any that are not fuelled,
- Clean and dispose of any waste according to correct procedures after fuelling and ensure fuel sheet is returned to office and that closing readings are entered onto next day's fuel issue sheet.
- Clean vehicles to comply with both Arriva Southern Counties and, if applicable, Transport for London (TfL) standards and ensure that all records are maintained correctly.
- Carry out daily sweep, daily, weekly and monthly interior cleans to Company standards and all associated paperwork required be completed correctly,
- Depending on equipment used on site, either:Move bus wash onto wash pad, leaving sufficient room to move wash around the vehicle,Check and top up fresh water if required,Clear any obstructions from pad,Commence washing, set angle of roller and turn wash on. Slowly wash vehicle, making sure all of vehicle is cleaned,If required, use jet wash and wash engine off and also the rear of the vehicle,Ensure vehicles are only washed on pad during permitted hours,
- Park all buses as per parking plan to enable smooth deployment of buses for the next days' service.
- To fully understand and comply with all Company and statutory regulation relating to hours of work, health & safety and working practices,
- To abide by all Company working policies and procedures.
- To correctly use permitted garage plant and equipment and to report any defects to your immediate supervisor,
- To ensure that the workplace standards confirm to Company standards at all times.
- Report any unsafe acts or omissions immediately using company reporting procedure, examples include fuel or oil spillages,
- Ensure you are wearing correct Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) for the activity being undertaken. (Overalls, boots, disposable gloves, high-viz, etc).

Shift Times –
Mon to Sat Shift is 17:30-02;00 Daily with a 30 min unpaid and 15 min paid break
Sun Shift is 16:00-00;30 with 30 min unpaid and 15 min paid break
Rota covers 5 days out of 7 on a 6 week rotation
