BDS are currently recruiting for an experienced Arrears Officer to provide a housing management service to help the arears team with their income and recovery process.

Salary of £16.19 per hour PAYE or £21.15 per hour UMB

Working 35 Hours a week Monday to Friday, you will be home based with the requirement to work with frontline teams in the following areas, Birmingham, Derby and Nottingham

The service users are 18 to 25 year old care leavers and some are 18+ with complex needs.

Identifying accounts of concern and discussing with local team
Agreeing an action plan dependant on the needs of each team e.g full staffed or not, need help to complete tasks
Drafting Discretionary Housing Payment letters
Completed HB appeals/late reconsideration/backdates
Send arrears warnings with statements
Offer budget plan
Contact the service user to offer a suitable repayment plan
Send prenotice letter
Ensure preaction protocol adhered to e.g Equality Act Note
Draft landlord notice
Keep rent system updated with help attempted
Ensure client Invited to formal arrears meeting with Service Lead and NOK or multiagency meeting

You will need to be a driver with access to a car and the correct business insurance
