Trust Doctor in Paediatric Endocrinology

(0.7 FTE post Equivalent of Specialist Trainee 1-3)

This is an exciting opportunity to gain or extend your clinical experience of Endocrinology in the unique and supportive environment of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

As a valued member of the team you will be included in the educational and training activities of the units and will be offered study leave.

Clinical research, audit and quality improvement activities will also be encouraged. There will be opportunity to undertake specialty Endocrine clinics, attend postgraduate education sessions, Grand Rounds and MDT ward rounds

We are looking for 0.7 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Trust Doctor to join the Endocrinology Department.

This post is available to start
in March 2023 for up to 6 months on a fixed term basis .

There may be a possibility of extension. The post will provide an excellent experience for someone wishing to train in Paediatric Endocrinology. Previous experience in General Paediatrics/ Neonates at senior house officer/ junior grade is essential, ideally in the UK. **The post is not recognised for training.

The post holder will work as part of a team covering the clinical aspects and day-to day running of the Endocrinology services during the day time Monday to Friday.

Out of hours, the post holder will be covering long days (Endocrinology), weekends (as part of a Medical Specialities rota), as well as night on call commitments as part of a Hospital at Night team.
