    Assistant Merchandiser – Maternity Cover (9 months)

    Reporting to: Commercial Director

    Key Objective: The objective of this role is to support the Merchandising function to maximise commercial opportunities through the effective management of inventory, driving sales through improved availability and forecasting and maximizing profit.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities Trading:

    Preparing weekly trading pack for the business, reporting sales, stock, margin, and product performance versus budget and last year

    Key contact for all analysis relating to all business channels

    Maintain Weekly Stock Sales and Intake forecasts (WSSI)

    Manage intake flow into business to hit monthly forecasts, drive sales and minimise risks and communicate with finance for longer term budgeting

    Control inventory levels, allocations and replenishment to concessions and wholesale stockists as required

    Key contact for stores and marketplaces on inventory availability queries

    Management of stock and orders for all marketplaces and online concession partners

    Provide analysis for Management and wider business

    Interact with other teams to improve sales performance and drive best practices

    Conduct detailed ad-hoc analysis when required on specific products/product groups

    Key contact for merchandise reporting and all aspects of merchandising processes and system use.

    Manage Quarterly stocktakes for the business and align with all department heads to reconcile

    Visual Merchandising of the Ecommerce platform Production Planning and Forecasting

    Partner with the Production department to work on new collection development, pricing strategy, and product selection.

    Provide historical analysis to develop Planning Forecasts for all channels

    Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested Essential Skills and Experience

    Fluent in written and spoken English

    Specific experience in fashion retail merchandising preferably within Jewellery

    Advanced planning and analytical skills, including computer skills.

    Excellent excel skills

    Good judgement and decision making skills

    Strong customer awareness and understanding

    Passionate about product, strong market and brand awareness

    Discreet, professional and well spoken, with excellent communication skills Exceptionally organised, methodical and efficient.
