    Description

    As a registered and authorised supplier to the NHS and many private healthcare providers, Direct Medics are working with Psychology professionals throughout the UK & Ireland to help them find new and exciting opportunities.

    As such, Direct Medics are working in partnership with a substantial and successful private healthcare organisation to find experienced and dedicated Clinical Psychologists to fulfill permanent vacancies throughout the country. The successful psychologists will provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to patients and families, at the same time as offering advice and consultation on patients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers.

    To be considered you must have the following:

    • Current HCPC registration as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
    • Post-graduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS
    • We will also consider applicants from newly qualified psychologists, or from those who are about to qualify (please clearly state in the application when you will receive HCPC registration).
    • Knowledge and understanding of eating disorders, and the impact on young adults and their families.
    • Experience working with individuals with eating disorders and their families, in either community or inpatient services.
    • Prior experience in eating disorders is desirable but not essential for this position. Experience working with patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder, neurodivergence, trauma and personality disorders is also desirable.
    • Post qualification training in the specialist application of therapeutic models relevant for working with young adults with eating disorders and other comorbidities (or for newly qualified psychologists an interest in undertaking further specialist training).
