Description

We are looking for a Foreman to oversee a bay of our new workshop in Blackburn. Initially you will start at our Heywood works and help facilitate the move to our new workshop.

40hrs a week

In this role you will work directly under the works manager where you will be responsible for one of two bays and all projects within the bay.

This role suits someone with a background of heavy engineering such as bridges and complex Structures. Ideally having been a chargehand/foreman in a previous role.

Duties:_

Implement and enforce Health and Safety policies.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety stand down talks and job specific briefings.
Liaise with works manager and production team to ensure workloads are prioritised in order to hit key dates.
Attend regular production meetings.
Distribution of labour within the bay and to ensure the right person is on the right job.
Experience working to Execution class 3 and 1090
Able to understand and read engineering drawings.
Computer literate would be an advantage but not essential.
Assist with the apprenticeship programme. To ensure that the apprentices needs are fully maintained.
