We have a unique opportunity for a
Project Support Officer to join the team on a
part time (25 hours per week), fixed term contract until the end of March 2024 basis.

In return, you will receive a competitive salary of
£24,893 per annum (pro rata).

About the role:


As the
Project Support Officer, you will be part of a small, supportive and inspirational team, with friendly ways of working.


Partners in Care (PIC) is a multi-stakeholder partnership (hosted within Bournemouth & Poole College) working to raise the standard and quality of adult social care.

Through their extensive links the PIC team have identified the need to ensure organizations maximize their adoption of digital working across all their business activities.

This role will support that work moving forward and help respond to the step change as a direct result of the past few years, in a sector where previous use of technology has been slow and patchy.


The digital agenda is large and we want our local care providers to be in the best position possible - your work will directly contribute to this.

This role is challenging (at times) but rewarding.


Responsibilities as our Project Support Officer will include:

  • Working alongside the Team Manager and Project Officer help to devise, implement and promote specific digital programmes of work to deliver agreed objectives
  • Supporting the move from paper to digital ways of working within adult social care in Dorset
  • Providing advice and support on digital options
  • Offering guidance and support to care providers to overcome barriers to the adoption of digital technology
  • Supporting the development/delivery of workshops and resources around all things digital, including data security
  • Encouraging positive internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Providing regular project updates to the team
  • Responding to all queries in a timely and efficient manner, and escalating issues when necessary
  • Scheduling meetings and setting agendas for the project team

As our Project Support Officer, you'll
ideally have:

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
  • Digital Skills / Technology qualification or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Good experience in providing high quality project administrative support
  • A willingness to build an extensive understanding of the benefits of digital technology for adult social care providers within a short space of time
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal
  • The ability to attend work related events outside of normal working hours
