About The Service
To assist in the promotion and management of the Older Persons HUBS, providing support to Community Living Scheme Managers to successfully deliver events and activities, with a particular focus on integrated health and wellbeing, enabling increased social connections and reduce isolation for older people within the community.
Support Community Living Scheme Managers in the daily running of Community Living Schemes.About the job
Organising events and activities to meet the older person's agenda, including social isolation, health, wellbeing, social care and housing.
Maintaining diary of events and activities locally and centrally, ensuring all relevant staff are kept up to date. Manage room bookings for communal rooms and ensure cleanliness.
Research good practice around older persons and translate this to delivery of events and activities. Build links with organisations, work with organisations to deliver events and activities for older people.
Assist with the development and maintenance of effective communication methods to support and encourage older person involvement, including information sharing and consultation.
Ensure the successful marketing and advertising of all older person events and activities within the local community and to partner organisations, including monthly newsletter for residents.
Support the Community Living Scheme Manager in the day to day management of premise including cleaning, reporting repairs, lifts, communal facilities, furniture, monitoring of the grounds and window cleaning.
Assisting Community Living Scheme Manger with the general welfare of residents and checking on tenant's well-being as required.
What We Are Looking For From You
To give assistance when required, to residents living at the scheme, to assess sympathetically and courteously the nature of any problems brought to the attention of the post holder and ensure matter is progressed to relevant staff, section, service area or organisation.
The post holder may be asked to render assistance to provide cover in any emergency until relief is obtained.
To support new tenants moving into a Community Living Scheme, providing assistance on general moving home duties and providing basic welfare benefit advice, and if necessary, signposting for further assistance.
To provide cover for other staff within the department as required, at the current location or elsewhere and to provide cover in any emergency until relief is obtained.
As a term of your employment you may be required to undertake such other duties and/or times of work as may reasonably be required of you, commensurate with your grade or general level of responsibility within the organisation.
