    Description

    As an Undergraduate Demand Planner, you will assist with ensuring our company's operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. You will assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analysing inventory flow, and developing forecast models. To succeed in this role, you should be professional, highly-analytical, and possess excellent communication skills. The successful candidate should also have an in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematical and forecasting policies.

    POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Assist in developing demand forecasts for various product lines.
    - Analyze historical sales data and market trends to make accurate demand predictions.
    - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and supply chain to gather relevant information for demand planning.
    - Support the implementation and maintenance of demand planning tools and systems.
    - Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excesses.
    - Generate regular reports on demand forecasts, inventory performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    - Participate in demand planning meetings and provide insights to optimize inventory levels and customer service.
    - Utilize demand planning software to generate accurate forecasts for assigned product categories.
    - Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to gather market intelligence and incorporate it into demand forecasts.
    - Analyze forecast accuracy and adjust models as needed to improve performance.
    - Monitor inventory levels and work with supply chain team to ensure optimal inventory management.
    - Assist in the development of demand planning strategies to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
    - Prepare and present demand planning reports and analysis to management on a regular basis.
    - Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance demand planning processes and systems.
    - Assist in generating demand forecasts for multiple product lines and regions.
    - Collect and analyze data from various sources including sales history, market trends, and customer insights.
    - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate demand forecasts and incorporate input from sales, marketing, and finance departments.
    - Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust models as necessary to improve forecasting performance.
    - Support inventory management efforts by identifying potential inventory risks and opportunities.
    - Assist in the development of demand planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet customer service goals.
    - Prepare and present demand planning reports and analysis to key stakeholders.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERTISE

  • Undertaking a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to utilize the business system and achieve both company and department wide goals and objectives
  • Self-starting, proactive individual who can perform stand-alone activities as well as work in a collaborative team effectively
