    You will be working with our enthusiastic and dynamic team in providing the best clinical service for patients by working closely with other healthcare professionals.

    The successful candidate will be highly motivated, experienced medicine management pharmacy technician with good clinical skills and managerial skills with a working knowledge of the medicines optimisation agenda.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and adaptable Pharmacy Technician with good communication and interpersonal skills to take on this challenging post.

    Your role will involve working with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and other health care professionals on providing Medicines Management services and enhancing medication safety at ward level and within the dispensary.


    The post holder will take accurate and detailed medication history and assessment of patients own drugs in order to support clinical pharmacists on medicines reconciliation.

    You will participate in audit and research to investigate, and where appropriate, improve the quality of service for patients within a clinical specialty.


    You will be an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) and you must have evidence of registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have post qualification experience working as a Pharmacy Technician within an NHS Hospital Pharmacy.

    We also provide care for the population in Harrogate and the local area as well as across North Yorkshire and Leeds.

    BTEC in pharmaceutical science and or NVQ level 3 in pharmacy services or equivalent
    ~ Extensive post qualification experience in medicines optimisation in a hospital setting
    Management post qualification or experience of staff and service management
    Experience of training others
    Experience of the development and implementation of procedures
