    Infrastructure Engineer | 45-50K | Cambridge | On Site

    We are working with a leading communications company dedicated innovation, integrity, and excellence in delivering cutting-edge solutions to their clients.

    The team is expanding and on the hunt for a new infrastructure engineer.

    Job Overview:


    As an Infrastructure Engineer with a specialization in networking, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.

    You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support our evolving technology needs and contribute to the development of scalable and efficient Infrastructure & networking solutions.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
    Implement and optimize network configurations to support business requirements and enhance performance.
    Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
    Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with existing systems and applications, WI-Fi & LAN.
    Conduct regular security assessments and implement appropriate measures to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
    Evaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend solutions to improve infrastructure efficiency and effectiveness

    Experience & knowledge:
    years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure & Basic cloud Tech withing M365 – (AD, AZURE)
    Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment.
    Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and network security principles.
    Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).
    Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, IS(phone number removed) or equivalent are highly desirable
