A highly regarded, innovative outsourcing business systems and solutions consultancy serving needs for asset-intensive industries such as energy, mining and engineering, are looking for an Experienced
Part Time (3-days) Finance Manager to join the group.

Salary:
Range between £60,000 to £70,000 (pro-rated to a 24-hour week) + Benefits (Listed below)

Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager plays a crucial role in managing and reporting the financial affairs of the business, providing analysis and insight through your management accounting and financial analysis skills.

The role will cover all aspectsof accounting including cost analysis, bank reconciliations, budgeting and performance reporting.


Initial requirement of 24 hours per week but with opportunity to grow depending on needs of the business and the value you can bring.

You can determine your working schedule, but this must be consistent week on week, including on-site presence in London(Holborn) 2 days per week.

This is an enduring employment contract - not a temporary or fixed term role.


Key Duties include:


  • Preparing and processing transactions and journals using modern finance software
  • Sales and credit control
  • Monthend process and reporting
  • Margin, overhead and variance analysis
  • Actual vs Forecast reporting
  • Insight and analysis with report production to the management team.
  • Bank and control account reconciliation
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Influencing and improving finance processes, driving effectiveness and efficiency

Essential attributes

  • You are a fully Qualified Accountant of at least 2 years (CIMA, ACCA, IACEW, ICA or equivalent)
  • You can commit to 3days on site in London (Tues-Thurs) during the 3month probationary period, 2days onsite thereafter
  • You do not require sponsorship, or, you have full right to work status in the UK
  • You have minimum of 5 years' experience within in a responsible accounting role

Ideal qualifications and attributes

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proven ability to overcome barriers, be resourceful and prioritise
  • Handson experience with accounting software and general ledger functions
  • Have previous exposure to finance business partnering or similar senior management finance roles requiring great communication skills
  • Experience of delivering internal finance process improvements, particularly in SME and growing organisations
  • Exposure to accounting for an outsourcing business advantageous

The package and benefits

  • Salary range between £60,000 to £67,000 (prorated to a 24hour week)
