    SEN Teaching Assistant


    Location:

    Pay:
    £90+ per day


    Start:

    GSL Educaion are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, for a vibrant and supportive Primary School in Oldham, after Easter.

    This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for working with children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Key Stage 1 (KS1) and possesses a good understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).


    Key Responsibilities:


    Provide targeted support to children with SEN, particularly those with ASC, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

    Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional support.
    Facilitate a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
    Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and the SENCO to monitor and support the children's educational and social development.
    Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to SEN.

    The Ideal Candidate Will:
    Have previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly with EYFS or KS1 children.
    Possess a good understanding of ASC/Autism and effective strategies to support learners with these needs.
    Be skilled in managing 1:1 and small group interventions.
    Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
    Hold a relevant degree or qualification equivalent to the role.
