Your role at Kittl

As a part of a cross-functional team including other developers, designers and a founding team, you will create and develop an amazing product that you will be proud of. Your backend responsibilities will include working on our internal APIs, billing as well as 3rd party integrations and improving the performance and reliability of our systems, as we rapidly scale our product and organization.

What you'll do

• You'll brainstorm with Product Managers, Designers and Frontend Engineers to conceptualize and build new features for our large (and growing) user base
• You'll produce high-quality results by leading or contributing heavily to large cross-functional projects that have a significant impact on the business
• You'll actively own features or systems and define their long-term health, while also improving the health of surrounding systems
• You'll assist our skilled support team and operations team in triaging and resolving production issues
• You'll mentor other engineers and participate in code reviews
• You'll improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
• You know how to make complex things simple, and can work fast and smart at the same time

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on Typescript &
• Familiarity with ORM tools as well as experience writing raw SQL
• Proficiency in modern web development tools, including linting libraries such as ESLint and testing libraries like Jest
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD (Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery) processes
• Deep knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms
• Familiarity with static hosting approaches, platforms and caveats

What's great to know

• Experience with frontend development
• Knowledge of real time communication protocols (WebSocket)
