    It's an exciting time to be joining us in Brent Adult Social Care as we pursue an ambitious new transformation programme.

    We have fantastic new opportunities for Occupational Therapists to join our growing service, including in our front door team (Access and Information), complex care team, hospital discharge team, and reablement team.

    As an Occupational Therapist in Adult Social Care, you will respond to individuals requiring social care support and employ appropriate interventions.

    Across our Adult Social Care service, we strive to deliver a culture of working together, positive risk-taking, and accountability. Our core aim is to support our residents to be influential, active members of our community.
    As part of our dedication to developing careers in Adult Social Care we have introduced new roles such as:

    Community Equipment OT

    You will need to be a qualified Occupational Therapist and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

    A good understanding of relevant Adult Social Care and Housing legislation is also essential.

    Further, you'll enhance your skills in moving and handling risk assessments and intervention, as well as equipment and minor/major adaptations which service users require to live meaningful lives within the community.

    You will have excellent communication skills and experience of working in social care or a community-focused multi-disciplinary setting.
    We will provide training for an exceptional candidate who cannot demonstrate all of the above criteria.

    Adult Social Care is part of the Care Health and Wellbeing department, and together we have a clear focus on working together to support residents, families, and communities.

    The department brings together a range of services and support.

    This enables us to have a clear focus on accommodation as a building block for long-term wellbeing and independence, as well as deliver genuinely multi-disciplinary working for people of any age with more complex needs.

    We have strong partnerships with health organisations and work closely on a range of practical and impactful projects.
