Service Coordinator
Stone Marine Services are seeking a Service Coordinator. The successful applicant will be responsible for organising Service Engineers on field jobs in a timely and effective manner. The position will be based within our facility in Inverkeithing, reporting to the Service Manager.


Stone Marine Services was founded in 1999 and now operates from three strategic locations; the UK, South Africa, and Namibia.

With a varied and diverse service portfolio, Stone Marine provides essential maintenance to vessel owners and operators across the world.


Role and responsibilities

  • Responsible for the general organisation of service jobs, responding to service requests, enquiries & processing orders.
  • Ensuring all Service Support/Administration personnel complete the required processes and procedures for service attendance job completion.
  • Communicate details of service plan to customers and agents to ensure smooth attendance by engineer, keeping in contact with any partners, so that an efficient & timely response is always received by the customer.
  • Ensure the required tools for the Management Team are completed in a timely manner.
  • Organise deliveries of goods & spares to customers, process deliveries from suppliers and deal with the necessary paperwork including any customs documentation.
  • Communicate with engineers and suggest improvements for required documentation to resolve raised issues.
  • Processing of service jobs to include checking of timesheets, service reports and inspection sheets.
  • Effectively use the current installed software/database (eg. Service Manager/SAP) and advise on potential improvements that could be made on an ongoing basis. SAP experience is desirable.
  • Ensuring all Quality Procedures are adhered to and promote the requirements of the current Quality Management system.
  • Housekeeping of employees' company property.
  • Other adhoc duties daily as requested by the management team.

  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Works with other employees willingly and in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Schedule will be 5 days from 7 and will include Saturday and Sundays
