    Description

    Loganair operates a comprehensive network of scheduled and charter flights around the United Kingdom and Europe. It continues to grow, and it now has around 850 members of staff, in various departments, including, Engineering, Flight Operations, Ground and Customer Services, Safety and Compliance, Commercial, Finance and Operations. We have stations throughout the United Kingdom.

    We are currently looking to recruit a PreOps Planner to join the PreOps Planning team based at our Glasgow Airport Head Office.

    Responsibilities

    • Be responsible for the roster from publication to 3 days prior to operation then handing over to Crewing, ensuring all duties covered & and necessary transport or accommodation in place
    • Have oversight of new crew inductee training, assisting in re-planning if necessary in conjunction with the Training Planning Co-ordinator
    • Be responsible for the flypro up to 3 days prior to operation then handing over to OCC, ensuring all flights covered
    • Respond to charter enquiries in a timely manner, by assessing resource requirements vs availability whilst ensuring duties are compliant in line with UK CAA regulations
    • Perform tasks related to charter work and charter enquires whilst adhering to regulatory requirements (e.g., submission of GAR forms, uploading PNLs, flight creation in our reservation system, liaising with crew etc)
    • Touring of aircraft in line with maintenance requirements reducing the need for ferry flights
    • General PreOps admin i.e, Workplace instructions
    • Other duties as directed by the Operations Planning Manager

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Relevant previous experience in a similar role although not essential would be an advantage.
    • Educational qualifications that demonstrate proficiency in English Language and numerical skills.
    • The ability to act proactively and with limited direct supervision, while at the same time recognising when matters need to be referred to more senior managers.
    • The written and oral communication skills necessary to initiate and respond to correspondence and to deal with other forms of communication.
    • The ability to work accurately with detailed information and to ensure that practical tasks are effectively implemented.
    • E-literate and competent in developing, administering and using PC and associated networks and systems to acquire, manipulate and disseminate information. Proficiency with MS Office 365 (Predominantly Excel & Word).
    Please note - this role involves shift work. Details of shifts will be discussed at interview stage.
