    Band 6 Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist (37.5 hours)

    We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity to join our team at the Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust in Reading as a full-time Paediatric Physiotherapist.

    The post is suitable for an experienced physiotherapist with a specialist interest in paediatrics. It will be based at the hospital's Dingley Child Development Centre (University of Reading Whiteknights Campus), the paediatric wards and outpatient clinics at RBH, and at our hydrotherapy setting in West Berkshire.

    You will gain experience in:

    • Inpatient respiratory, neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation.
    • Outpatient orthopaedics including Ponseti.
    • Early Years neurodevelopmental conditions.
    • Childhood MSK conditions.
    • Hydrotherapy.
    • There is also the opportunity to participate in complex needs and tone management clinics, neonatal care, CPIP alongside senior staff.
    Main duties of the job You will work within the paediatric physiotherapy team. There is support from experienced senior staff, and you will share responsibility for supervising and developing rotational staff and students.

    You will work closely with the MDT and community teams.

    You will have sound IT skills and demonstrate the Trust's values of Compassion, Aspiration, Resourcefulness and Excellence. Participation in the weekend and on-call rota is a requirement of the role.

    Regular appraisal, supervision and support will be given and there is a requirement to actively participate in CPD and audit activities.

    You will work alongside senior colleagues to implement new initiatives to continue to develop the service in line with best practice and clinical guidelines.     • Degree or other recognised qualification in Physiotherapy
    • HCPC Registered
    Experience & Knowledge Essential
    • NHS experience across all core rotations/areas, including paediatrics
    • Ability to carry out paediatric assessment and treatment
    • Ability to carry out paediatric assessment and treatment ? Specialist knowledge of current evidence based best practice in Physiotherapy and in particular paediatrics
    Skills Essential
    • IT skills, including electronic patient records, word processing and email
    • Good time management and organisational skills
    • Good communication skills, including ability to process/share complex information, and to deal with people who have difficulty communicating
    Desirable
    • Training and presentation skills
