    We are recruiting for a Environmental Practitioner Degree Apprentice to join our friendly and innovative Bath Environment team, who are involved in a wide variety of challenging and exciting projects.

    This apprenticeship will give you exposure to each department of our Environmental teams: rotations could include Environmental Assessment & Management, Air Quality, Ecology, Water and Waste Management & Logistics.

    You will be studying towards the Degree (Level ) Environmental Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard, the .

    What will I be doing?

  • Develop and support the authoring of technical reports, design notes, briefing documents covering the following aspects of environmental consulting: Environmental Impact Assessments, Air Quality, Ecology, Water and Waste Management
  • Supporting colleagues, project leaders and discipline experts within Buro Happold and represent the company at meetings
  • Collecting and analysing/modelling various environmental data sets ( environmental baseline information via surveys and/or desk based studies)
  • Creating presentations using infographics/imagery to show complex data visually
  • Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues, project teams (incl. design team/architects, planning consultants), clients and local authorities
  • Assisting with project management including budget and resource planning for specific assignments and projects
  • Compiling geographic data, analysing mapped information, and utilising site data in a range of Geographical Information System (GIS) applications and presenting outputs in innovative, clear and succinct ways
  • Provide support, where necessary, on business development initiatives to enhance team and project operations

  • Tariff points:
  • GCSE: GCSE: Grade C/ or above in English and Mathematics, or equivalent (we accept Functional Skills Level in English and Maths).
  • A-level subjects: Points from A-level General Studies and AS-level subjects (not taken onto full A-level) can be included towards overall tariff. You must have a minimum of two A-levels. No specific subjects required.
  • Duration of Apprenticeship:

    Typically the duration of the Environmental practitioner is month duration ( and half years).
    Some apprentices may have prior learning and modules can be exempt, therefore the duration of programme can be reduced to reflect the prior learning.
