Description

Venture Recruitment Partners are assisting a Charity, based in West-London, in their search for a Project Accountant on a 6-month FTC.

Salary - £45,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Accountant include:

  • You will be responsible for building solid and robust procedure documents to support the existing finance processes whilst shadowing the departing Accountant.
  • Assist with monthly reporting and month end close including Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post journals e.g. for prepayments and accruals.
  • Provide analysis and commentary (including working with budget holders to understand variances).
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and any discrepancies investigated.
  • Assist with forecasting (including cash flows).
  • Develop, monitor and maintain internal accounting policies and procedures.
  • Identify internal control weaknesses and assist in implementing improvements.
  • Carry out other duties as may be reasonably required by the Financial Controller.
Key Skills and Experience of the Project Accountant include:

  • Finalist, qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) or QBE
  • Able to communicate and influence with credibility at all levels & divisions within the organisation
  • A selfstarter with the ability to work using own initiative; tenacious and able to work under pressure
  • A passionate person with the ability to learn diverse processes and challenge them
  • Strong data analysis and data manipulation skills using tools such as Excel, Access
5 days a week in the office.

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00.

Holidays: 33 days holiday per annum (FTE) (1 October to 30 September) inclusive of Bank Holidays.
