    NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles.     NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.     Working hours are Monday to Friday 9-5.

    This is an existing opportunity primarily based in the Plastic Surgery Out-patient's Department at Glasgow Royal Infirmary with additional responsibility to support patients in Community working closely with periphery hospitals and community teams and to support the SCN in OPD.

    Plastic Surgery is part of Regional Services Directorate taking referrals from across the West of Scotland. We care for patients who have underwent Reconstructive Surgery for Skin Cancer, Breast Cancer and Traumatic Injuries. One of the main roles is providing wound care for the patients group we care for. Within the service, is a multi-disciplinary team with medical staff, nurses, healthcare support workers, physiotherapists and specialist nurses. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work to high standards in a fast-paced environment.

    Essential for this role is post-registration qualification of Clinical Assessment and Nurse Prescriber. Candidates without essential post-registration qualification are welcome and would be supported through education utilising Annexe 21 post You will be flexible, forward thinking and able to work effectively within a changing and dynamic environment.

    Driving license is essential for this role.
