Role Overview:


Key Responsibilities:


  • To reduce antisocial behaviour and implement crime reduction strategies at a Neighbourhood level.
  • To work with partners in the multiagency safeguarding hub to ensure appropriate interventions are undertaken.
  • To advise various agencies, individuals and businesses on problem solving methodologies and crime prevention initiatives and deliver effective partnership activity working with communities, police and other partner agencies.

Key Requirements:


  • A detailed knowledge of statutory duties with regards to community safety under the provisions of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and the legal powers available to the Council and its partners under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 201
  • Experience of evidence gathering techniques including interviewing of victims and witnesses and preparation of statements and case files
  • Proven experience of working in partnership with a broad range of communities and partners, building consistently positive relationships and influencing outcomes
