2nd Line Support Engineer

Location:
New Barnet, London

Travel:
Office Based

Hours: 38 Hours per week, shift basis between 8AM - 6PM

Salary:
£28,000 - £30,000 DOE
2nd Line Support Engineer required for a managed IT service provider in New Barnet.


This is a permanent position perfect for a dynamic and talented support engineer to provide technical support to a variety of SMEs all over London through a combination of remote desktop, telephone and onsite support.

2nd Line Support Engineer Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • 2nd line level ticket resolution, liaising with other engineers as required
  • Following up with clients following support to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Troubleshooting to provide immediate advice and resolving incidents
  • Using, modifying and creating PowerShell scripts for automation purposes
  • Updating and creating knowledge base articles to support the team further
  • Improving internal system and process efficiency increase the speed of incident resolutions
  • Travel to client sites (Approximately once per month) to resolve client issues

2nd Line Support Engineer Experience and Skills:

  • 2+ years experience in commercial IT positions
  • 2nd line support experience
  • Microsoft 365 Administration experience (Exchange, Business One, etc.)
  • Active Directory, including group policies
  • Endpoint Manager
  • Basic Hyper-V or VMware experience
  • Setup, management and administration of basic layer 2 networking and network nodes
  • Windows 10 and 11 troubleshooting
  • Basic Mac experience
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Full driving license
  • Microsoft Certifications (Desirable)
  • Azure experience (Desirable)
  • SharePoint experience (Desirable)
