    Description
    We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting for an Electronic Repairs Engineer for our client based in Stoke-on-Trent

    The role


    To repair, service and refurbish electronic equipment based within the Technical Support Centre and reporting to the Manager, this role focuses on the provision of a high-quality technical repair service to maintain customer contracts, pre-staging of electronic systems along with software and networking parameters to meet customer orders.

    Training and support will be offered to the individual to become competent in the following duties.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    Setup & Configure systems with software and networking parameters.

    To repair a wide range of electronic and mechanical parts used in the field.

    Refurbish electronic gaming equipment.

    Provide technical support for customers and Tier 1 teams.

    Maintenance, design & setup of new or existing test rigs.

    Investigate opportunities to improve the product to provide a more cost-effective solution for all parties.

    Management and control of spare parts for product repair and upgrade.

    Identify possible machine modifications to improve uptime.

    Liaise with equipment suppliers to justify and implement possible improvements.

    Implement technical training and assessment programs for engineering staff.

    Assist with installations as required to meet the business need, travel throughout the UK and Europe.

    Required Experience (advantageous)

    Qualifications in IT, Networking, programming, media systems etc

    HNC or HND in Electronic and electrical engineering preferred or equivalent level course in above.

    Fault finding experience of PC systems, configuration, and networking.

    Knowledge and experience of scripting languages (advantageous but not essential).

    At least 2 years' experience with a high-tech company in an associated field.

    Required Skills and Abilities

    Able to systematically work through problems to affect a resolution.


    To work either as a team member or alone is required and good customer facing skills are essential, as the role will include visits to customer sites.

    Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and on the phone.

    Be willing to travel when required. (within reason)

    Hours

    36.25 hrs per week

    Mon- Thurs- 7.45am- 4.30pm

    Fri 7.45am-12.30pm
