Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts; as a part of our ongoing success in building and retaining relationships with many schools and academy trusts in the area we are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant in Welwyn Garden City tostart in January 2023 for a temporary role until the end of the academic year, July 2023.

This postion includes lunch time cover, with the teaching assistant position taking their lunch break afterwards.


The role is at a primary school which aims to inspire a love of learning in every student and nurture them so they leave as well rounded, happy individuals.

The school are rated 'Good' by Ofsted and have values centred on respect, friendship and responsibility.


Role:

  • Able to support the students in the class under the direction of the class teacher
  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
  • Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
  • Ability to support students and encourage their progression
  • Willingness to comply with the schools' policies and implement effectively

Requirements:


  • Recent experience working in a primary school or with school aged children
  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
  • SEND experience is desirable
