    About the Team

    As a PMO Manager you will have line management responsibilities for Project Support Officers and part of the Portfolio team of 12, reporting to the Head of Portfolio.

    Your work will see you engage with colleagues across the organisation and regularly with our community of project and change professionals.

    About the role

    We are looking to recruit a proactive and experienced project professional to join of Portfolio team that supports the business' change initiatives. You will bring your knowledge and experience to help create and form a high performing team.

    You will have demonstrable experience working in a project environment, whether that be a specialised role or a background in project management. You will be able to offer new ideas to take the Portfolio Office further, understanding the change curve and how to energise stakeholders.

    You will be an excellent communicator both verbally and in written form, using creative ways to engage with colleagues and stakeholders and solve problems.

    You will be a natural problem solver and be able to respond quickly and positively to change. You will have a good understanding and experience of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies as well as natural problem-solving abilities and be comfortable to adapt these techniques to succeed and deliver.

    Knowledge of Microsoft O365, including Project for the Web, Power BI is desirable although not essential.

    You will be a project professional with experience of:

    • Managing high profile projects or working within a Portfolio team
    • Managing multiple stakeholders, applying influence and persuasion to achieve results
    • Managing QA
    • Managing Benefits
    • Managing project governance and controls
    • Managing risk and issues and controls
    • Managing plans, milestones and dependencies

    About the Recruitment Process

    Stage 1: Long list - Candidates successful at this stage will be invited to complete an exercise that is completed remotely and submitted by email w/c 22nd April.

    Stage 2: Short list - Successful candidates that completed the exercise will be invited to a remote interview with the Head of PMO w/c 29th April.

    Stage 3: In Person Meet - The successful candidate will meet the Head of the PMO (date tbc)
