HR Manager - Kent
12-month Fixed term contract - Maternity cover, Working for an SME based in Kent with a workforce of over 150 people


Location:
Gravesend


Salary:
£50,000 - £55,000 basic + Package


Start date:
Either 30th January 2023 or 6th February 2023


Role:

The Resolute Group are working exclusively with an SME within the Construction sector. Seeing continued growth across the COVID period and reaching 150+ permanent members of staff.

This role is covering for the existing HR Manager who is due to go on maternity leave in mid-February.

The aim is to have a minimum of a 2-week handover period to ensure you are fully embedded in the business prior to her leaving.

You have got an experiencedHR Advisor that will be supporting you and undertaking the day-to-day duties.


This isn't a typical HR Manager position as operationally the business wants the HR Advisor to take on more responsibility and develop her skills further.

What they need is a mentor and someone that can be there for any difficult situation that may arise.
Taking the lead with board-level meetings, ensuring HR is represented and handling the projects within the business.


At present they are reviewing and updating policies across the business due to the increase in employees and growth targets.

Everything from holidays, maternity, Paternity, sickness, training and employment policies are being reviewed and improved.


This is a hybrid role but you need to be in the office a minimum of 2 days a week with a minimum of 2 days working from home.

The third day is flexible around the business be it meetings or day-to-day working requirements.

There is also flexibility aroundyour background as we need a professional in HR so open to the sectors you have previously worked in.

A great chance to move into the construction sector from a Retail or service-focused background.


Required Experience:


  • Experienced HR Manager previously
  • CIPD level 3 as a minimum supported by experience.
  • Driving license as travel to the office and sites might be required.
  • Excellent stakeholder skills as you will be reporting into the board with NO HR Director in the business.
