    Job summary

    We are pleased to offer a 12-Month fixed term or secondment opportunity as a Clinical Team Administrator to join the Central Administration Team who are based at Northside House in Norwich.

    This role requires a passionate, dynamic, proactive and forward-thinking administrator who is committed to providing a high level of service in a unique environment. This varied role will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to develop their skills and undertake training for personal and service development

    Main duties of the job

    As part of the East of England Provider Collaborative, NSFT is part of a network of providers who receive referrals, complete assessments and arrange admission for patients into Secure and Forensic Service beds. The Central Admin Team provide the administrative support for our Trusts provision of this service along with our Gatekeeping Coordinator.

    We also provide cash office provision to the wider care group dealing with patients' monies, petty cash and cash and valuables in line with Trust Policies andStanding Financial Instructions.

    We support our clinical team colleagues when a patient is admitted/transferred and discharged ensuring we collect and collate all required data as part of our commissioned requirements.

    Secure and Forensic Services provide community and in-patient care to adult men and women who, as a possible consequence of their mental health needs, have come into contact with the criminal justice system. We also provide services to the three prisons in Norfolk - HMP Norwich, HMP Bure and HMP Wayland.

    Wework hard to make sure we provide a high level of customer service in each of the areas we cover. This role will include interaction and communication with a wide scope of people including service users, health and social care staff, medical and criminal justice professionals as well as solicitors and commissioners.

    Job responsibilities

    To work together with the existing central administration team to provide cover for all elements of our service provision. To create and maintain good working relationships with colleagues in our clinical areas to offer support as and when required to both our cash office and reception.

    The successful candidate with be trained to support with referrals administration, cash office including petty cash and patients monies, inpatient admission/transfer and discharge data collection. There may also be an element of support to our management administration colleagues and our clinical team colleagues who work with our inpatient wards.

    Knowledge

    Essential

  • Maintaining administrative / secretarial systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages or equivalent.
  • Desirable

  • Evidence knowledge of NHS policy / procedures
  • Qualifications

    Essential

  • NVQ 2 Customer Services or relevant experience
  • Pitman/RSA III Typing / Word Processing or equivalent secretarial experience at intermediate level.
