Role Description:

About the Role

This opportunity is within the Changing World of Work Group, which focuses on examining the implications of the changing work context on managing people and organisations.

The Group provides thought leadership in areas such as emerging technologies and work, generational diversity; gender, leadership and inclusion, global mobility, HR and technology, organisation design, flexible; sustainable HRM; and agile working and employee engagement, and brings together expertise in Human Resource Management (HRM), Employment Relations, Organisational Behaviour (OB) and Diversity.

This is a flourishing group that is particularly active in relation to producing high quality applied research, and includes the Gender, Leadership & Inclusion Centre (GLIC).

The Group has ambitious plans including the development of a digital learning pathway in HRM, and a range of Executive Development offerings.

The role will report directly to the Group Head, Professor Emma Parry.

This role is initially offered as a two-year fixed-term post but given the growth trajectory of the Group, it is hoped that this could become a permanent role in the future.

About You

You will be educated to doctoral level in a relevant area, and you will be able to demonstrate experience of, or potential for, teaching, training or executive development in HRM.

You will preferably be able to show recognition of your expertise through outputs such as publications, conference presentations, professional involvement, industry demands, or similar.

With excellent communication skills, you will be able to collaborate effectively with students, executive learners, academics, practitioners and policy makers.

You will be respectful towards others and collegiate in approach. Experience of teaching and leading modules or programmes at post-graduate level and of developing digital modules is preferred. Applications from those with an interest in Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (alongside HRM) are particularly welcome.

In return, you will have exciting opportunities for career development, whilst joining a supportive team environment and contributing to this growing area of importance within the School.
