We're currently recruiting for an
Accounts Payable Team Leader to provide support to the Finance Shared Service Centre.


Location:
Salford, Manchester with flexible/hybrid working available

Contract:
Permanent, full-time - flexible and part-time hours is available if required.


Responsibilities

  • Management of a team of 812 Accounts Payable Administrators in a flexible/hybrid working, high volume environment to maintain clean AP ledgers
  • Coordinate staff and workrelated issues, particularly about planning and organising work schedules
  • Reporting to Accounts Payable Manager, taking accountability for the daily work allocation, performance measurement and team management
  • Ensure that all queries and issues are resolved within the agreed Service Level Agreement
  • Partner with and deliver great customer service to key stakeholders working across organisational boundaries (group procurement, IT, wider finance, commercial)
  • Be the primary escalation point for the resolution of issues across the team from the business or the vendor

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience managing medium sized teams, ideally within an Accounts Payable Shared Service function or other core transactional / financial processes in a complex business environment
  • Experience of the construction industry and DRC/ CIS tax environment would be advantageous
  • Experience managing/ leading change projects into Accounts Payable or similar teams
  • Strong knowledge of principles, practices, regulations and procedures relating to Accounts Payable function
  • Experience of Oracle and Causeway systems as a preference (but other financial systems experience is acceptable)
  • Organise own workload and to reprioritise at short notice in order to meet deadlines.

Kier FSSC was set-up in 2016 in Manchester and provides a range of back-office financial transactional services to Kier Business Units.

In 2021 the office relocated to Salford Quays and now operates a flexible/hybrid working policy, which allows for all teams/ staff to agree the most optimal working arrangements to meet FSSC and customer needs.
