    Job overview

    We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychological Therapist to join our Tier CAMHS team at the North Wales Adolescent service in Abergele. This role is crucial in supporting the delivery of targeted therapeutic interventions to young people experiencing a range of psychological difficulties and mental health problems.

    We are looking for an individual with proven experience and suitable qualifications in delivering therapies like CBT and DBT, particularly to young people, excellent communication skills and the ability to empathise with and support young people through their challenges.

    Main duties of the job

    As a Psychological Therapist within our team, you will be instrumental in delivering evidence-based therapies to young people accessing tier services. Your primary focus will be to work with young people, assessing their needs, formulating treatment plans, and providing direct therapeutic interventions and support to the wider MDT utilising your specific therapeutic skills.

    You will collaborate closely with other team members within the Tier CAMHS framework, contributing to the overall care planning and delivery. You will play a vital role in guiding and training junior staff, helping them develop their skills in delivering psychological interventions. Your contribution will ensure that our team continues to provide high-quality care and stays abreast of the latest therapeutic techniques.
