    Job summary

    Clifton Medical Practice is a friendly practice with around 8500 patients. We are looking for a part time Data Entry Clerk to join our team to work approximately 21 hours per week. Previous NHS experience is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided.

    Main duties of the job

    Duties includecoding mail and summarising medical records, maintaining supporting informationfor financial claims, processing patient registrations and GP links, managingthe COVID home visiting register and similar and general administration includingmanaging the new DOT recall system. Applicantsshould have a good working knowledge of Microsoft office and spread sheets.

    Job responsibilities

    Reviewingmedical records and producing an accurate summary of the patients medicalhistory.

    ReadCoding the information into the practice clinical system

    Auditingdata collection standards in the practice

    Monitoringprogress of notes summarising against practice targets

    Monitoringpatient call and recall systems, utilising SystmOne and F12 to streamline theprocess.

    Filingand retrieving paperwork

    Extractionof necessary data from clinical correspondence and input into electronic patientRecord.

    Filecopies of hospital referrals.

    Filehospital letters.

    Scanningof letters and relevant correspondence into patients notes.

    Summarisationof patients notes when requested.

    PatientRegistrations and links administration

    Carryingout searches, audits and recalls as required by the doctors, nurses and manager.

    Reportfaults to software supplier and track progress

    Ensurebackups are taken in accordance with practice procedure

    Pro-activelyinitiate data quality improvement projects

    Setup and run clinical searches

    Ensureaccurate report output

    Interrogatedata for audit purposes

    Preparespread sheets of patient data for patient monitoring referrals to rovingteam, Citycare.

    Person Specification

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths
  • Desirable

  • Administrator level 2 or 3
  • ECDL
  • Experience

    Essential

  • Good standard of general education. Experience of working with the general public. Experience of filing systems and previous office experience. Experience of working in demanding environment. Keyboarding skills
  • Desirable

  • Experience of working in a GP Practice or previous NHS experience
