The Teaching Assistant Role:


As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will be supporting teaching and learning within the classroom, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.

You should take a mentorship approach to your work, using a holistic, person-centric method.

As a Teaching Assistant,you will be assisting pupils with their work, managing challenging behaviour and providing pastoral support in line with the behaviour team.


The Teaching Assistant:


For this Teaching Assistant position, you must be a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, and have experience working with pupils with SEMH needs.

It is important that you have a bubbly, compassionate personality and can build a strong rapport with the young people youare supporting.

You should have a good knowledge of the national curriculum up to GCSE level and be capable differentiating work to an appropriate level for the pupils you are working with.

This Alternative Provision located in North-East Birmingham caters for KS3 and KS4 pupils with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour and SEN that has meant they have left mainstream education.
