Initially this role will be located in Northam, Southampton then we will be re-locating early 2024 to a brand new premises in Whiteley
There is an excellent opportunity to join us in our Project Support Team as a Logistics Operative.

We are looking for someone to join us initially at our facility in Northam, Southampton, re-locating early 2024 to a brand new facility in Whiteley, Monday to Friday.

We are looking for someone who can provide effective administration, planning and communication of import & export - road, sea and air shipments to ensure our world-wide outfitting projects are delivered on time, in budget and to the agreed specification.


What are we looking for:


  • Proven background delivering complex international logístical solutions, ideally in a freight forwarding, import/ export environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of shipping documentation procedures, specifically around commercial invoices, commodity codes and Incoterms.
  • Proficient IT and numeracy skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator and a solid team player.
  • Able to work in a highly pressurised environment during peak times with independent problemsolving abilities and task prioritisation.
  • Ability to build confident relationships at all levels within the organisation and external stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities:


  • Liaise closely with all internal stakeholders to fully understand project requirements including risk management of shipping methods and timescales.
  • Plan, generate and monitor shipments using Trimline processes to create accurate shipping documentation.
  • Escalate any issues and potential solutions related to delays, additional costs and any other project risks, as well as providing updates and contributing to project and department progress meetings.
  • Liase closely with freight forwarders and transportation companies to developing relationships
  • Maintain accuracy of commodity code and shipping data of product items in Trimline internal systems.
  • Coordinate Hazardous Packing where required, keep MSDS up to date and share DGN information with our carriers and project teams.
  • To provide cover for the wider Project Support team within their specialist roles during period of holiday, sickness, and peak periods of business
  • Carry out general support and administration including raising purchase orders accurately using the Trimline Purchase Order procedure as well as any other adhoc task as directed by your line manager or designee.

£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
