MacKenzie King are excited to be supporting a small practice, based on the outskirts of Stowmarket, to recruit a
part-time Accountant (21 hours). They pride themselves on using their expertise to provide effective solutions for their client's needs. You will be a part of a highly knowledgeable and supportive team that work together to offer an excellentclient experience. As a
part-time Accountant you will be delivering a range of accountancy services to a portfolio of clients and manage relationships with those clients to ensure all compliance needs are met.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the financial statements for company, trust and partnership/sole trader clients, using source documentation or thirdparty accounting papers. Ensuring compliance with UK GAAP
Prepare statutory company accounts in accordance with company law requirements and in accordance with UK GAAP
Assist corporate clients in meeting their compliance and regulatory requirements
Preparation and submission of VAT returns
Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts, as required
Advise clients on day to day accounting procedures and assist in developing controls if necessary
Support Directors with formulation of accountancy advice to provide to clients
Drive forward the MTD capabilities for the firm and clients through the use of third party accounting software

Key Skills & Attributes:

AAT qualification or equivalent
Sound technical knowledge and experience of accounting standards and reporting requirements for Companies (desirable but not essential)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and systems
Previous practice experience would be advantageous
