    Job summary

    The New Forest Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is looking for an efficient and well-motivated administrator, to join the team to support timely care delivery to children and young people open to our service.

    You will be joining a friendly, supportive, and creative team of clinicians and admin staff dedicated to developing and providing a quality service to respond to and improve children and young people's mental health in the New Forest Locality.

    The post is ideally suited to someone who is enjoys working in an office environment within a team. This is an interesting and varied role, with admin staff often being first point of contact for our patients, their families and outside agencies.

    Main duties of the job

    Your main responsibilities will be to provide a comprehensive range of administrative and secretarial services to the team, which will include handling all aspects of correspondence, including processing referrals, typing clinical letters and working across patient electronic record systems, maintaining security and access of records.

    You will be confident in managing enquires coming into service, via telephone and emails and will be able to respond and divert effectively.

  • NVQ 3 in Business & Administration or evidence of equivalent practical experience
  • RSA 3 or equivalent experience and evidence of further practical experience
  • Good standard of secondary education: GCSE at Garde C or above or equivalent
