    About the role

    :


    Performing the duties of a Lecturer you will teach on Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses using pedagogic approaches that deliver first class student experience and undertake Knowledge Exchange and/or Research in Multimedia Journalism and related disciplines.


    You would be able to teach beginner to advanced classes.

    Teaching embraces a professional practice approach spanning print, digital and broadcast journalism in an effort to equip students with current and relevant industry skills.

    The ideal candidate should have experience of and connections to the journalism industry that they can bring into the classroom.

    You will be able to explain complex concepts and teach technical skills related to multiplatform news production in areas such as Newswriting, content generation, TV, Radio, page layout and design, media law and feature writing.

    You would support students publishing to our outward facing news website, which is used as a learning resource, and embedded in teaching.

    You will contribute to research and knowledge exchange/enterprise activity through collaboration with industry and/or high quality research. You will be expected to contribute flexibly to teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
