Our client is a world-leading provider of services to the aviation industry. They are looking for an Asset Team Leader to join their busy team based near Hassocks, West Sussex.Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, support and motivate Asset Team ensuring continuous data analysis with objective of
- Develop team to maximise business opportunities and performance in line with company objectives
- Assist Asset Manager to maintain accurate procedures and processes ensuring continued improvement, accuracy, automation and efficiency
- Work closely with Chief Officers and Senior Management on high stake, time sensitive aircraft component projects
- Maintain and develop data analysis and reporting infrastructure ensuring regular and accurate inventory requirements are communicated to purchasing and repair departments
- Monitor market trends and developments to ensure the company's stock portfolio meets company objectives
- Support regional teams identify and locate inventory at global warehouse facilities
- Review and negotiate contracts associated with airframe acquisitions with aircraft end of life service providers
- Manage airframe teardowns. Analysis aircraft component harvest material, select final removals and analyse components for recertification
- Analyse aircraft component package opportunities establishing value and "need" in line with company inventory objectives
- Identify component modification and relife programs maximising inventory value and demand
- Update and maintain the integrity of company data base (Quantum Control)
- Complete Asset team's reviews, monitor performance and support with recruitment as when required
- Manage daily rota, annual leave, team activity and delegate tasks as required, encouraging teamwork, and managing conflict
- Promote adherence to Export Control regulations and ensure a full understanding of how it effects the teams' responsibilities
- Assist Asset Manager and department with any other duties as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an aircraft component, MRO or trading environment, OR 3 years' experience in stock/asset control
- Experience within a supervisory role preferable
- Essential Alevels A-C, a university degree or similar level qualification beneficial
- Understanding of airframe rotables and aircraft components including component condition, certification, and airworthiness is preferable
- Understanding of aircraft technical documentation (IPC's, CMM's, AMM's) preferable
- Inventory Management experience and proven track record in Procurement preferable
- Ability to successfully plan and coordinate team activity to ensure high performance
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to mentor and train team members
- Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical thinker with solid quantitative and qualitative reporting skills
- Strong integrity and honesty, maintaining high professional boundaries and standards
- Advocate of the values, cultures, and ethos of the company
- Flexible and adaptable to work in a busy environment
- Selfmotivated with the desire to succeed and meet deadline
- Excellent computer literacy, highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with excellent experience of Quantum / other webbased Aircraft parts databases
- Intermediate/Advanced user of Excel is desirable
- To work a 37.5hour week, Mon-Fri between 07:00 19:00, flexibility on work hours' essential but predominant work hours
- Language skills desirable
