Operations Team Lead

We are looking for a Market Abuse Surveillance Operations Lead who will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of our market abuse surveillance programme.

This role involves creating and monitoring metrics such as MI, KPIs, and KRIs to enhance surveillance, across all areas of the Operating Model, and strengthen governance and management oversight.

You will work closely with the Global Head of Surveillance to recommend actions that will improve or remediate any issues in the programme.


As the Market Abuse Surveillance Operations Lead, you will oversee the Surveillance Data Analytics team, who will assist you in creating effective visualisations that communicate key information clearly and simply.

Additionally, you will own the book of work and product line for Surveillance, partnering with colleagues and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that the data used is complete, accurate, and utilised in a sustainable and simple way.


Your will work closely with IT / 3rd-party vendors to ensure that data is accurately mapped, is of appropriate quality and that sufficient coverage is maintained and remediated.

You will also produce adequate procedures and documentation to support visualisations.


To excel in this role, you will need a strong understanding of the surveillance operating model, data requirements and a proven track record of delivering successful surveillance implementations.

You should have experience with Tableau or similar visualization tools and a solid understanding of how to create effective and clear visualisations.

Additionally, you should be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues across the business.


Furthermore, the Market Abuse Surveillance Operations Lead will be expected to explore and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and innovation within surveillance, and assess their potential to enhance the surveillance programs effectiveness.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the market abuse surveillance programme operates effectively by monitoring metrics and recommending actions to improve or remediate as needed to the Global Head of Surveillance.
  • Oversee the Surveillance Data Analytics teams contribution to effective surveillance operations.
  • Partner with colleagues and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure complete and accurate data is utilised in a sustainable and simple way for surveillance operations.
  • Collaborate with the Global Head of Surveillance to ensure alignment and integration of surveillance systems and operations to meet the teams objectives and wider surveillance programme goals.
  • Create and monitor MI, KPIs, KRIs etc. to enhance surveillance and strengthen governance and management oversight.
  • Work with IT / 3rdparty vendors to ensure data is accurately mapped, and maintain sufficient coverage, and remediate any issues.
  • Produce procedures and documentation to support visualisations and build a recognisable and consistent team brand through the viz created.
  • Keep uptodate with the latest trends and developments within surveillance and across the field of visualisations to improve surveillance effectiveness.

Skill Sets:


  • Strong understanding of the surveillance operating model and experience in ensuring effective surveillance operations.
  • Proven track record of creating and monitoring metrics, KPIs, KRIs etc. to enhance surveillance and strengthen governance and management oversight.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar visualisation tools and a solid understanding of how to create effective and clear viz for surveillance purposes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure complete and accurate data is utilised in a sustainable and simple way.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data analytics strategies to support effective surveillance operations.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment while ensuring effective surveillance operations
