    Principal Electrical Design Engineer - (Building Services)
    City of London
    Up to £75,000 per annum

    Role Overview:
    We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Principal Electrical Design Engineer to lead their Building Services team.

    As a senior leader within the organization, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction, technical expertise, and leadership in electrical design engineering for large-scale commercial and industrial projects.

    This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished professional to make a significant impact and drive excellence within our dynamic organization.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the electrical design process for complex building services projects, from concept design through to construction and commissioning.
    • Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to project teams, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving innovation.
    • Mentor and coach junior and midlevel engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and best practices in electrical design engineering, and integrate them into project delivery.
    • Drive business development initiatives, including identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Masters degree or equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
    • Extensive experience in electrical design engineering within the building services sector, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects to a high standard.
    • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or equivalent professional accreditation is essential.
    • Strong technical proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and advanced electrical design tools.
    • Indepth knowledge of building regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations, BS 7671), with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and delivering projects to exceed client expectations.
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to drive business growth and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
